Kind to Cats and the Planet

The brand name "Felesto" is derived
from the Latin word "feles," meaning cat.

We operate daily with the theme of being "kind to cats and the planet," but we also aim to create a brand that is loved not only by cats, but by all animals and people.

Felesto's Initiatives

① Products that are easy on pets

Felesto collars are designed to be as stress-free for pets as possible.

Cats react to things that dangle.

Some cats seem bothered by items swaying around their necks. Many of our collars feature a wooden ID tag attached directly to the collar, which does not sway, making them gentle for your pet.

Furthermore, even with the ID tag, most of our collars are ultra-lightweight, weighing only 2g to 4g.

② Utilizing upcycled and natural materials

In cooperation with the placemat brand EMYS', Felesto engages in upcycling by taking fabric scraps that are too small for their products and adding value to transform them into new items.

As the global apparel and textile industries grapple with issues of "mass consumption" and "mass waste," we are committed to using materials that are as eco-friendly as possible.

These are upcycled collars made from vintage clothing.

They turned into such lovely collars.

Felesto is known for its "wooden ID tags" and "Log Bowl" water dishes, and we make extensive use of natural materials that won't become trash even when they get old, as they are biodegradable and return to the earth.

Our original Japanese washi paper collars were born from the desire to eliminate the sacrifice of animals for leather products, with the determination to "create a plant-based collar that is absolutely cuter than leather!"

Before becoming leather, these were living animals.

They are the same animals as the dogs and cats we cherish as pets.

As long as we continue to buy leather products, the number of sacrificed animals will not decrease.

③ Recycled and plastic-free packaging

At Felesto, we use recycled packaging materials for our log food and water bowls, "Log Bowl," to consider the environment and reduce waste.

For our collars, we have adopted a packaging method that uses no plastic.

*For Log Bowl packaging, we may occasionally use recycled plastic bubble wrap.

We do not offer a separate gift wrapping option.

Since we package everything with care, you can purchase our items to give as gifts as they are.

④ High quality, Made in Japan

Felesto products are made by skilled craftspeople who typically produce goods for department stores. Each item is finished with great care.

Compared to mass-produced overseas products, the high quality is immediately apparent.

 ⑤ Support for rescued cats, dogs, and animal welfare

I have three cats at Felesto, and all three were either found outside or rescued by friends.

The cats at Felesto are living happily with me now, but I don't know what would have happened to them if they hadn't been rescued.

I want to do what I can to reduce the number of cats living in harsh environments—facing traffic accidents or extreme heat and cold—and the number of cats being euthanized.
As an individual living in a remote mountain area, it is difficult for me to be directly involved in rescue operations, but in my own small way, I donate to organizations involved in rescue activities and provide a limited number of collars free of charge.

I cannot provide a large amount of support all at once, but I will continue to do what I can, little by little.
